Each time I hear you cry
Each time I see tears rolling down your face
I die a little

And each time this happens
It leaves a hole
A gap in my heart, my soul

But now those tears aren’t stopping
However, rolling down the crevices of your face
Like a stream
Like a river

And this hole in my soul
In my heart
Is growing

While your tears engulf you
I’m here disintegrating
Falling through your fingers like fine sand

And by the time your last tear
Gathers the strength to slowly glide
Off your salty chin

You clench your fists
To hold on to me

But,
I’m already gone
